Mr S , an elderly gentleman, was recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease requiring dialysis.

He was referred to Dr Nikhil Sharma for AV fistula which is an operation involving making a fine surgical connection between patients own Artery and vein .

The operation was successful and the gentleman now uses the fistula for dialysis.

It is said that the fistula is a lifeline for a dialysis patient and therefore it is crucial for it to be done by an specialized vascular surgeon.
